One thing I am concerned about is cheating. Will their be an anti cheat program of some kind to block or help eleminate cheating? I have seen really good games and sims ruined by the hackers. Personally i have quit playing two so far because of the cheating. And others I won't buy because I know it will happen to them also :roll: . I know that America's Army uses PunkBuster. But all they have to do is reformat get a new name and their back in business. When I spend money in good faith to get what is advertized that is what I want and not ruined by people who don't want to take the time to learn and educate themselves on becoming the best pilot they can become. I hope this will be of some help if you have not thought about it. Since this will be a stand alone sim. I expect hackers will be at work.

absolutely, we intend to incorporate into the MP engine a check that ensures all data files, versions etc are up fully compatible. Not only for the cheating issue but also to ensure stability of MP.

One of the problems with Falcon currently is that a lot of the MP troubles stem from people modifying data files, or having files from different patches etc, whether done deliberately to cheat or by accident.

By implementing that you should also have a much more stable MP system :thumbsup:

What about Punkbuster? or is it better to create your own file matching system?

The protection of Logbooks agaist cheaters (TOM CRUISES) :-p ! and the removal Invicibility options MUST BE A PRIORITY. :evil:

BuckShot I was very happy to see your reply back so quickly. Good to hear that you are covering the bases including the cheating and other hacks. Keep up the good work. I for one am looking forward to seeing the final fruits of G2i, Coders, and Beta testers labors in the final product.
