As you can see I have been around for a while since 2006 tba. I use to be a Area 51 member, but I cant see myself paying for something and not really getting my money worth. I guess what I am saying is why is it that there is no time frame that can be give to your supporters to give hope to this project.

The answer to that question has been made in detail several times, but to briefly answer, the reality of software development even for experienced development teams (see Microsoft, etc etc) is that estimated time frames more often than not get blown out, quite often by years.

Take that to the extreme in our case with a distributed part time team, and you can see it is almost impossible to even begin to make predictions that are half as accurate (or inaccurate) as those made by the big boys.

The nature of the community is that the second you give any hint of a timeframe you get dozens taking it as a personal insult the second you go a day over, even if you stress that it's an estimate.

For that reason we have decided not to go there.

It's been TWO WEEKS since that post, so - I'd like to check if your policy on that remains the same, or if it has changed during the past fortnight.

Of course - if you DO answer me, you will set yourself up for me to return every 2 weeks for the rest of my life, asking the exact same question.

So - what seems a simple question may indeed have Aragornian Ramifications.

well, I'm just used to the Falcon community usual "3-4 weeks" time period. But seeing as this isn't Falcon then I guess the 2 weeks is okay.
