Hello all.

This will likely be one of the more random requests you'll encounter, though it isnt very exciting.

My beloved girlfriend (soon to be fiancee, I hope) recently went on a trip to Italy and lost a decorative key that she wears on a chain around her neck. She is hoping to have it remade, but I havnt the slightest idea who would do that (or what exorbitant price they would charge) , so I am hoping to find another online. She bought it in Germany from some souvenir shop. The key itself is nothing special. Its just soft steel (I think), so I know there are many like it. The key is finding it! Pun very much intended.

Im putting this post in a few of the forums I frequent. Knowing that nothing is free, I'll send 50$ to the first person who finds a replica I can purchase. (Via paypal or money order) I am hoping to find one myself, but I know many eyes from around the world would be much more helpful.

Thank you to anyone who wants to help!!

Feel free to PM me, or email me. chris_robinson83@hotmail.com

Good luck with it. Your girlfriend will love (more) you for it if someone comes through.

A noble quest, indeed.

Good luck to you. I'd try and find wholesaler's catalogues so you can track down the product code. That said, your best bet is going to be the very large, but very not online second hand jewelry market...

I gave it my best effort for about 45 minutes, but couldn't find a match. I tried many combinations of the following words (and then some).

long key, skeleton key, charm, pendant, crown, royal, necklace, oval, germany, gift shop, souvenir

I also tried multiple search engines and ebay.

Good luck

I think there has to be a link between the Key and the City she bought it (related to the history of that town/key). She can't remember I assume which city she bought it in?

And when research is being done for it you should make you search for German words not for English words is my assumption. It is Germany you are talking about and they are proud at their language.

What I found were these, they aren't the keys you are looking for but they are close:

I will keep on looking btw

Thanks for helping guys! I really appreciate the help!

I need to check, but Im 90% sure she bought it in Berlin. I would tend to agree with you, Redstormer, about the possibility of it being unique to the city, but I was mistaken when I said she bought it in a souvenir shop. She bought it from a shop called SIX which is just a cheap accessories shop that exists in much Western Europe. I contacted them to see if they knew anything helpful, but they havnt replied. This was a few years ago, so I doubt they still have it in stock. Their website is beyond useless...

When I speak with her today, I'll confirm that it was in Berlin, but Im not sure how much it will matter now. Deckerd was kind enough to provide me with some German key words I can use to search with. So we're on the same wavelength. Thanks again Redstormer and Tineras!
