Looks like the wing and the nose absorbed a ton of that impact. Probably very lucky the wing hit first.

Damn, that's lucky!

When I flew gliders (back in 1999-2002) there was a brit in the club who landed a "bit" too hard one time and sprained the heck out of his back. He sat in the glider, on the runway, for about 30-40 mins before the ambulance could get there. That was a tough time to wait. We could see how much it hurt, but we didn't dare move him and risc pulling somethng that would paralize him.

He hasn't flown gliders since, I've been told.
