Think about it. They have themselves out here in public, and have made a very direct statement of intention. What they discribe could not be made with Falcon. The engine is too outdated. This new company they have partnered with has to be involved with military simulation of the falcon. Where else could they find such advanced developed code to build upon? If you think about it, the old falcon is obsolete so the simulation is not so top secret. The code for their trainting simulators has been developed long ago and it's a chance for some little unknown defence company to make a few more bucks out of it. We in the community want to see a CD on the shelves for newbes to buy even as a community based effort. This seems to make sence because a military sim would be high on flight dymanics but the game format for visuals would have to be built, many by scratch. A military flight sim would have of the world data needed, weather dynamics, a ton of shit for realism. Still doesn't explain how it will be ported over for XP and DX9, but I can see a role for the E team. How I'm doing? Love to speculate on these boards. :lol:

If it is a case of helping to put a windows graphics engine on a military sim, then we will have something that really rocks.

We've all seen military sims on TV - lovely avionics and FM, but dull graphics.
Whereas we've all flown sims with lovely graphics but with little or no avionics realism at all.

I think such a move would be great.

Well, look at a sim such as X-Plane. Austin continuously develops X-Plane taking his own and the community's ideas into account, and all the good planes and scenery, NAV data etc. is built, provided and updated by the community. And we buy X-Plane every time a new major version comes out, but it is worth it.

Best of luck, I am sure it will be a smash hit if you target providing a product that exceeds the current Falcon 4.0. If you are doing the Mudhen, then you have my cash already.
