We have had some important news in the past 24 hours which will have an effect on the progress of the Fighter Ops project.

Unfortunately due to personal and financial considerations, our lead programmer is forced to take an extended leave of absence from the project.

Area 51 members will find a more detailed statement in their forums, we sincerely thank those who have chosen to take up Area 51 membership, it has been of great assistance to the project.

In light of the current situation, I would advise any forum member who is thinking about joining Area 51 specifically to get updates, screenshots, videos etc to not do so. For those who still choose to support the project in this manner, we can assure that the funds are put to good use and will assist in not only keeping our infrastructure operational, but will form a small part of the solution to the financial side of the issue.

The Fighter Ops team have been going strong for quite a number of years now, we have been through just about everything the world could throw at us, twice over. In the grand scheme of things, this is something which is much more manageable than some of the other issues which have cropped up over the years, largely due to the professional and dignified manner our team member has dealt with the issue. Without a doubt this is a set-back, however we will get through this period and we will come out stronger and we will continue until the true next generation of flight simulations is set to take flight.
